A visit to Happy Camp is a trip not soon forgotten.  It has a character that includes much more than beautiful mountains. You're going to love Happy Camp, where hospitality's a lasting tradition.  Experience this lovely, colorful blend of narrow valleys, steep forested mountains, rocky cliffs and the rugged Klamath River as it snakes its white water alongside the tiny, unincorporated, old mining town of Happy Camp, deep in the mysterious Klamath National Forest.

With year-round boating opportunities, the Klamath is famous for the fall and spring run of Salmon and Steelhead. It is proclaimed the “Steelhead Capital of the World” and the “Home of Outdoor Family Recreation.”

Happy Camp is located approximately 70 miles West of Yreka on Highway 96.  The drive from Yreka takes approximately 1 ½ hours.
